Hilton London Bankside Launches Spa Treatment Rooms
This month Hilton London Bankside launches new Spa To You treatment rooms, bringing a brand new wellness space to the hotel. The two new treatment rooms wonderfully compliment the ever-popular swimming pool and gym and are an exciting addition to the hotel and the local Bankside area. Spa To You brings a wide range of treatments from traditional Chinese medicine practice Tui Na to Hot Lava Shell massage as well as facials from Caudalie and Bee Good – inspired by honey made from the rooftop beehives at Hilton London Bankside. The interiors of the new treatment rooms are designed in warming wood tones and softly lit with candles providing a calming sanctuary in the heart of Bankside.
Launched in July 2016 The Bankside beehives are housed on the meadow garden located 4 floors up on Hilton Bankside’s large green roof terrace. Each of the four beehives has been designed and painted by jeweller and local neighbour Alex Monroe in their own individual style representing each of the four British seasons. Honey from the rooftop hives are part of the entire wellness journey at the hotel. Guests indulging in the Signature Facial powered by British bees will enjoy an experience inspired by the honey made on site with products from the award-winning Bee Good. Restoring radiance and balance to all skin types, this luxurious treatment combines expert massage with the therapeutic benefits of British honey, propolis and active plant oils. Enhancing natural beauty by working intelligently and in harmony with skin to rejuvenate, tone and calm the complexion, restoring youth and vitality to ageing skin and a natural glow to tired, dull or stressed skin.
Bee Good champion the natural benefits of wildflower honey as a skincare solution as it suits all skin types, balances hormonal skin and is full of anti-oxidants to slow down the signs of ageing. Honey also holds the properties of a natural humectant which leaves skin supple, elastic and moisturised – resulting in protection from fine lines and wrinkles. The Spa To You therapists will use the all-natural Bee Good products throughout the Signature Facial starting with a Honey and Propolis Cream Cleanser before toning the skin with Honey and Wild Mint Cleansing Water to tighten the face. The second stage of the treatment will exfoliate the skin using a Honey and Camelina Oil Exfoliant which has with potent anti-ageing properties and controls sebum. A calming NectaPerfecta enzyme mask follows, made from a blend of British honey, beeswax and natural plant waxes reducing trans-epidermal water loss and protecting against dehydration. Once the mask has been gently removed a youth enhancing serum made with propolis, larch extract and blackcurrant oil is applied, before the award-winning Honey and Wild Flax Moisturiser to firm and plump skin. Once the treatment is finished guests will be ushered to the relaxation area where they can enjoy a soothing infusion made from ginger and honey from the hotel’s bees.
Spa To You at Hilton London Bankside will also offer personalised massages using Aromatherapy Associates oils, plus Swedish and Deep Tissue using grapeseed oil which has softening, smoothing and anti-oxidant properties for the skin. It’s also rich in oleic acid and other important skin lipids. Guests can also indulge in facials from French vinotherapy brand Caudalie which uses vine and grape extracts from the vineyards of Bordeaux to create an eco-friendly treatment which delivers outstanding results. Traditional Chinese medicine practices will also be available including cupping, acupuncture and Tui Na massage which is a healing system designed to treat chronic pain in the body as well as headaches and migraines. It is an ancient ritual in traditional Chinese medicine whose popularity continues to rise. Hot Massage will be on offer with a special Hot Lava Shell experience which uses naturally self-heating tiger clam shells and hydrating mango oils to bring full body relaxation. Guests of the spa will also have access to the large swimming pool at the hotel, which is usually reserved for residents only.
