The Clumsies popup at Meraki Fitzrovia

On Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th October, multi-award winning The Clumsies Bar from Athens will be in residence at the recently opened Greek restaurant, Meraki. The restaurant is the latest from the Waney family, who are also behind Roka, Zuma and The Arts Club. Ranked 9th place in ‘The World’s 50 best bars in 2016’, The Clumsies are the only Greek bar within the top ten list not located in London or New York.

Opened in 2014, by friends Vasillis Kyritsis and Nikos Bakoulis who both represented Greece in the Diageo World Class Global finals, The Clumsies is one of the best cocktail bars in the country. Constantly travelling the globe, Vasilis and Nikos appear in the best bars and restaurants to platform their creative and innovative cocktail menu as well as showcasing the best of Greek hospitality, a philosophy both The Clumsies and Meraki share.

There will be eight cocktails available (priced £8-9 each), split into four categories; Hydrogen, Synchrony, Zymosis and Harmony. Highlights include; Phantasmagoria (Johnnie Walker Gold reserve whisky, mead, apple soda, salted caramel), Nostalgia (pineapple Zacapa23 rum-infused, crafted biscuit rum, ‘Nostalgia Elixir’, Otto’s Athens vermouth, childhood bitters) and Chaos (crafted buckwheat Ketel One vodka, Samos Vin Doux Dessert wine, caper leaves, beeswax, hops olive oil).

The pop-up will be hosted at Meraki’s cocktail bar, and will be open from 6pm until 1am – walk-ins only.

They have also opened Oblix at The Shard and Coya on Piccadilly; the latter followed by Coya Angel Court in May 2017.
