Fun for families at Cantina del Ponte this summer

Cantina del Ponte Bambino Shakes

Riverside trattoria Cantina del Ponte is upping its family-friendly credentials this summer, by introducing eye-catching additions to the menu. From Monday 14th August, children dining at D&D London’s classic Italian will each be treated to a free Bambino Sundae, made with Italian gelato.

Suitably extravagant to please even the most demanding of little ones, Cantina del Ponte’s Bambino Sundaes include the vanilla-based Nutellino, topped with a mountain of Kinder chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallows, hazelnuts, chocolate biscuits and dripping with Nutella, as well as the raspberrygelato Fruittina, boasting a crown of raspberry sauce, strawberries, whipped cream, marshmallows, Smarties, popping candy and Haribo strawberries. The sundaes can be enjoyed alongside the childfriendly likes of Ricotta and spinach ravioli and traditional Lasagne Bolognese.

The new sundaes will be available during service hours every day of the week. With views overlooking Tower Bridge and the restaurant’s signature laidback vibe, Cantina del Ponte’s offering the complete summer holiday package to parents looking to relax.

Cantina del Ponte will be offering its new Bambino Sundaes on a complimentary basis to diners under 12 years old, from Monday 14th August until the end of the summer holidays.

Notes to editors

A traditional Italian trattoria by the River Thames on Butlers Wharf, Cantina del Ponte offers a warm welcome and the perfect spot for a quick bite of lunch or a relaxed dinner, all overseen by Head Chef Angelo Albera. A mural of an Italian marketplace runs the length of the dining room, while terracotta floors and black-and-white ‘metro’ wall tiles lend the restaurant a cosmopolitan feel. Opened in 1992, the restaurant celebrates its 25th birthday in September 2017.
