Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport unveils new menus at Paksa
Newly appointed Executive Chef Miguel Adriano reveals his inspiration behind dining at the world’s coolest airport hotel
London, August 2018…/ Naumi Auckland Airport Hotel is delighted to launch three new menus at restaurant Paksa. Created by Executive Chef Miguel Adriano, who joined the hotel this summer, the menus consist of breakfast, all-day dining and dinner all of which include Asian-fusion and classic dishes aimed to offer a unique dining experience in Auckland, while still retaining Naumi’s signature playful style. Translated as “wing of a bird” in Sanskrit, Paksa forms the beating heart of the hotel and Naumi Auckland hopes the restaurant will bring more people together to celebrate New Zealand’s incredible produce and world cuisine.
Originally from the Philippines, Chef Miguel uses his culinary heritage to inspire his cooking and the new menu at Paksa. Trained in traditional Asian and French cuisine, his style of cooking has evolved into modern Pan Pacific cooking represented in dishes such as Sa La Su Prawn, with sesame seeds chili and mung beans, featured on the dinner menu. Working in hotels and restaurants in New Zealand for over seven years, Chef Miguel brings expert knowledge of the industry and the local area to his new role at Naumi Auckland having previously held positions at Rendezvous Grand Hotel and The Grand Millennium, Auckland before joining Naumi.
Inspired by local delicious products and seasonal ingredients, each menu at Paksa represents Naumi Hotels’ identity as an international brand.
Paksa’s breakfast menu is designed to give guests the perfect start to their day. With a combination of traditional dishes such as the Naumi Eggs Benedict with lemon hollandaise and an indulgent Cheese Toastie with gruyere, Naumi Auckland has something for everyone. For those looking for a healthier choice, Chef Miguel has created Naumi Superfood section with options such AVO Smash served with poached eggs and feta and Toasted Home-made Granola with seasonal fruit and berry yogurt. Gluten free alternatives are available.
All-day dining menu
A great option for those looking for a quick bite in an informal setting, or perhaps a working lunch. With classics such as the Naumi Burger with Rosemary Lamb and a side of Truffle Parmesan Fries or a lighter option of Paksa Salad with goats cheese, torched grapefruits, fennel and candied pecans, the menu allows for guests to enjoy some of Paksa’s signature dishes any time of the day.
Classic main dishes such as Braised Lamb Shoulder with caulilini showcase the best of New Zealand’s farm to table ethos while Mee Goering and Laksa from the wok and curry section give a nod to sister property Naumi Singapore. This diverse menu is perfectly suited to guests of Naumi Auckland who come from all over the world staying at the hotel as a stylish stop-off during an international journey or as part of a multi-stop trip around New Zealand. Thinking outside the box, the desserts menu at Paksa marries together different flavour combinations that bring balance to the palate. Avocado Mousse with white chocolate and freeze dried berries, and Vittoria Crème Brûlée with a hazelnut choux stick are just some of the sweet treats on offer, alongside the soon to be legendary Naumi Ice Cream Sundae. Keeping local producers at the forefront, Chef Miguel has sourced three award winning cheeses from the Puhoi Valley for those looking for something a little more savory.

Nightly rates at Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport start from NZ$199 (approx. £102) based on two adults sharing a Habitat Room on a room-only basis.
