Italian Indulgence at Sartoria


What better way to spoil your mother than with an indulgent Italian dessert, crafted by Chef Patron Francesco Mazzei in collaboration with Ferrero Rocher and served in the stylish interiors of Sartoria on Savile Row? The restaurant will be opening specially on Sunday 31 March to honour the leading ladies in our lives, serving dishes from a special brunch menu, as well as the delicious sweet treat. The striking Rondnoir dessert comprises a delicate shortbread tartlet encasing a passion fruit cream, fresh raspberries and Italian meringue, topped with a luxurious Ferrero Rondnoir. All mothers will also be given a complimentary Bellini to toast to the special occasion.

The same offer will be available at riverside restaurant Fiume where the Rondnoir dessert will be served. For those North of the river, all mums will be entitled to a celebratory Mother’s Day Mimosa at Francesco’s Islington trattoria Radici.

The menus offer innovative and refined British dishes, made using the finest seasonal ingredients from across the UK. Starters on the Sunday lunch menu include Seared Orkney scallop, celeriac, truffle sauce and pickled celery, followed by main dishes of Saddle of roe deer, salsify, creamed spelt, venison sausage and Delica pumpkin or Roast cod, buttered sea kale, cauliflower, seared squid, caviar, and Champagne sauce. Alternatively, for a more traditional Sunday lunch, Roast Rib of beef comes served on a silver trolley and carved tableside with all the classic trimmings. The Dining Room is bathed in natural light creating the perfect ambience for a memorable lunch or dinner with all the family.

The ‘Sunday Sharers’ are available for £45 and come served with Yorkshire puddings and all the traditional trimmings. Women’s Month at Great Northern Hotel to celebrate Mother’s Day


To end their Women’s Month on a high, Plum + Spilt Milk will be serving a Mother’s Day Sunday Roast Menu. Priced at £40 per person, the menu commences with light, spring flavours including London burrata, chicory and pistachio salad, pomegranate dressing and continues with a luxurious Butter-poached breast of Springfield Farm chicken, truffled brioche crumb and Bourguignon sauce, served with duck fat roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. All mothers can be spoilt this Mother’s Day in the heart of Covent Garden at The Den, St Martins Lane. The menu is priced at £55 per person, including a Floral Cocktail to start, followed by four delicious courses that take inspiration from the Seven Sister States of India. Starters include Atul’s Chicken Tikka Pie with cumin scented berry compote, and guests can then enjoy a middle course of Dakshini Kofta, seasonal vegetable dumplings with coconut turmeric gravy.
