Chefs Tam Storarr and Will Alexander always have an array of vegetarian and vegan specials on their menus at Blanchette Soho and Blanchette Brick Lane, making it a much-loved option for all. Highlights include Blanchette Brick Lane’s signature Baked Moroccan eggs with peppers and flat bread and Saffron couscous with spiced artichokes and pomegranate yoghurt,as well as Soho’s Whipped goat’s cheese with grilled courgettes, peas and hazelnuts and Spinach and kale salad with sundried tomato, thyme and soft-boiled egg.
Dim sum at Tootoomoo
Pan-Asian restaurant group, Tootoomoo, have a few things up their sleeve when it comes to their vegetarian offering. Their exclusive vegetarian menu includes the likes of a Sesame seaweed salad (Wakame & Hiyashi Seaweed, pickled and dressed with black pepper & sesame dressing)and a vegan Lemongrass tofu stir-fry. They also have an exciting new dim sum menu, including vegetarian delights such as Kimchee veggie dumplings and ‘Mountain Jelly’ vegetable dumplings. Both menus are available to eat-in or take away from Tootoomoo’s Whetstone, Crouch End, and Islington branches, and to take away from the Highgate branch.

Vegetarian fusion at Asia de Cuba
Diners can embrace the rise of flexitarian eating with some flare at Asia de Cuba this March. In the heart of Covent Garden, this unique menu highlights the flavours of Havana through a variety of vegetables dishes. The restaurant is offering a selection of tasty vegetarian delights, such as Pad Thai to Chilli-Rubbed Tofu and Plantain Fried Rice on the side. Paired with a signature cocktail, these dishes will keep the palate fresh and enticed.
Looking from one cold country to another, vegetables certainly haven’t been forgotten at Twins Garden in Moscow. The growing season might be short but when the Berezutskiy brothers invested in an enormous heated state of the art glass house at their new farm they were able to guarantee that their guests were served the very best vegetables day after day. Exquisite skill is shown with dishes such as “Cabbage”. This is a combination of grilled cabbage, kiwi fruit and hazelnuts. It will be on the special Lent menu which complements the main a la carte and with its Vegetable collection. Test out the city prior to the start of the World Cup.
