BBC Good Food Shows
Cook Mum up a feast fit for a queen this Mother’s Day with the help of BBC Good Food Stars Michel Roux Jr., Tom Kerridge, and James Martin.
Souper green soup with pumpkin seed croutons – recipe from Jo Pratt
The classic salade Lyonnaise should be made with dandelion leaves, but they can be a little bitter for some people. If you are lucky enough to have a garden with untreated area in it, you can pick your own leaves. Alternatively, use frisée salad, also called curly endive.

Weekend Roast Chicken – recipe from Tom Kerridge
Everybody loves a roast chicken! The most important thing is to buy the best chicken you can afford: the better the chicken, the better the flavour. It’s as simple as that. This is a ‘weekend chicken’, because you need to start it the day before you want to eat it, but don’t let that put you off – the recipe is very easy. When you taste it, you’ll agree it’s worth a little advance planning.

Summer berry fruit gratin – recipe from ‘Sweet’ by James Martin
This dessert is very close to my heart. I originally made it at college, but reinvented the recipe many years later when I was invited to have lunch with the Queen. This was the dessert that followed a main course of duck from one of Her Majesty’s estates. As a boy from Yorkshire who first came to London with little more than a bundle of knives wrapped in a tea towel, this is a very special memory for me, and an experience I will never forget.
