Sauce loves… The Pointer
We always get excited when a new client comes on board, especially when it means a trip out of the City on a sunny afternoon. The Pointer, in Brill, is a fantastic country pub, restaurant and butchers with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce- lots of which is produced or grown by The Pointer themselves.
You’ll hear lots more from us about them in the upcoming weeks but for now here is five reasons we love The Pointer…
On site butcher. Since 2004 owner David Howden and farmer/butcher Jon Wilkins have been building up a thriving herd of English Longhorn cattle as well as a sizeable family of rare breed pigs.
Pints for produce. Being in the heart of the community The Pointer are keen to source as much local produce as possible- encouraging locals to come trade produce for pints!
Beef butter. Created by head chef Mini the best butter we have had in a long time. Imagine Bovril butter and you’ll be on the right tracks.
Grown on site. A large variety of ingredients you’ll find on the menu have been grown at The Pointer’s farm just a few minutes down the road. Freshly picked!
