Señor Ceviche to open on Charlotte Street this May
Señor Ceviche, the lively Peruvian restaurant currently located in Carnaby, is set to launch a second site on Fitzrovia’s Charlotte Street this May, introducing several new dishes, an exclusive brunch offering, and an underground pisco bar.
The concise menu will offer distinctive national dishes such as ceviche, whilst also exploring the Japanese and Chinese influences on Peruvian cuisine, with a selection of Nikkei and Chifa specialities. Favourites from the Carnaby menu that will also be seen at Charlotte Street include the Chifa Chicharrones; Señor Ceviche; and Pachamanca Pork Ribs. Meanwhile, guests will also be able to enjoy new dishes such as Barbecued scallops with aji amarillo and pisco butter; Yellowfin tuna with yuzu tigers milk, wasabi and miso; and Slow-cooked short rib with aji panca and pickled garlic anticucho sauce.
Exclusive to Charlotte Street, the new weekend brunch offering will include dishes such as Sweet potato waffle with crispy lamb shoulder and huacatay salsa and Peruvian sausage with root vegetable hash, corn bread and onsen egg, whilst bottomless Pisco Punch will also be available.
Downstairs, an intimate cocktail bar will showcase the iconic Peruvian spirit of pisco, with the much-loved Pisco Sour sitting alongside a creative new list of pisco infusions from Señor Ceviche’s Pisco Pioneers, and cocktails such as pisco with lime, thai basil, jasmine and plum sake.
The design of Señor Ceviche Charlotte Street is being overseen by Alessio Nardi of A-nrd Studio. The space will echo Lima’s grand colonial architecture, embracing the colourful, artistic and youthful character of the Barranco District of the city. Guests will be invited to enjoy a relaxed yet lively atmosphere throughout the versatile space, whether dining in the main restaurant, celebrating a special occasion on the mezzanine, watching the world go by from the terrace, or sipping punchy pisco cocktails in the basement bar.
Speaking of the launch, Founder Harry Edmeades commented: “Having launched as a pop-up four years ago, and being one of the original brands to bring Peruvian food to the UK, we are delighted to be opening our second restaurant. Charlotte Street is one of London’s iconic dining destinations, and we are thrilled to be bringing our exciting and diverse Peruvian offering to such a fantastic foodie hub.”
Founded by Harry Edmeades, and inspired by extensive travels and research trips across Peru, Señor Ceviche Carnaby first opened in 2014, following a series of hugely successful pop-ups throughout the Capital. Señor Ceviche Charlotte Street will open in May 2017, with further details to be announced in due course.
