Political Cocktails: Which one are you voting for?
LONDON – To celebrate the General Election on 8th June, Blue Boar Bar is inviting in the public to come and vote for their favourite ‘Political Cocktail’. Inspired by the party leaders the cocktails are a playful nod to their characteristics and traits.
The cocktails have been designed by Blue Boar Bar’s mixology team and are inspired by the political decor and House of Commons Division Bell, one of only three in the area. Blue Boar Bar has long been associated with politicians and is a favourite drinking spot with the local Westminster community.
‘Corbyn’s Reign’ plays on notes of sweet and sour with vodka, cranberry juice, strawberry and lemon; ‘Tim’s Lib Cat Who?’ offers the traditional and neutral flavours of vanilla, pineapple, passionfruit and vodka; ‘Theresa’s Kitten Heel Fizz’ has an unexpected pop of Champagne, and finally ‘Nicola’s Tartan Army’ pulls on the hardy Scottish tipple of whisky mixed with lemon juice, lychee liqueur, chamomile syrup, and Ratafia liqueur.
Head Bartender, Roland Mandoki says: ’We are quite a fun bar that doesn’t take ourselves too seriously so to inspire a bit of debate at the table, we have created these Political Cocktails. We wonder who will win?’
