As the nights draw in our favourite restaurants have turned their attention to the most creative occasion on the seasonal calendar; Halloween! From devilish desserts, to creepy cocktails and even a pop-up pumpkin patch, they’ve got it all covered.

Trick or treat? This year Tom’s Kitchen is celebrating Halloween with a creative dessert which is as tasty as it is terrifying. A white chocolate and pumpkin mousse coated in dark chocolate will be served with an orange macaroon and vanilla whipped cream. This year for Halloween, the clever chaps at Mr Bao, Peckham, have created miniature orange pumpkins, complete with green stalks, out of bao dough. The sweet treat is packed full of roasted pumpkin and raisins and will be available on the 31st October. https://www.mrbao.co.uk/

Pumpkin Soup & Black Pizza at Radici

Get into the spirit of Halloween with a steaming bowl of Chef Francesco Mazzei’s pumpkin and sage soup at Radici. Alternatively, daring diners will not be disappointed with their spooky black pizza topped with roast pumpkin, fiordilatte mozzarella, cavolo nero and toasted pumpkin seeds – perfect for those #Halloween snaps. Throughout October at M Threadneedle Street, M DEN is being transformed into a spooktacular feast for the eyes in collaboration with renowned street artist Rich Simmons and his Skullerfly exhibition. Inspired by the artwork Executive Chef Mike Reid has created an amazing complementary four-course Halloween menu available on request for just two tables per night.

Meanwhile at M Victoria the infamous M Doggy Brunch is back for a Halloween special. On Saturday 27th October the Halloween Hounds Party will comprise a ‘cook for your dog’ masterclass, followed by lunch from M’s ‘Six Legs – Dine with your Dog menu’. If this wasn’t enough, guests and their four-legged friends will also be invited to participate in a Pooch Pumpkin Hunt and a canine Halloween fancy dress competition in the ‘Haunted Hound House’ with a percentage of proceeds donated to Battersea Dogs Home.

Finally, on the 31st itself M Threadneedle Street will be throwing another of its notorious Halloween parties complete with Don Julio cocktails, gruesome body-part decorations, Humanimals, and a devilish DJ with immersive performers to keep the crowds entertained all evening. As the clocks turn back on 28th October things are getting spooky at 20 Stories Manchester in the build-up to Halloween. Guests to the exclusive Blackout Dinner are invited to dine in the dark, with just candlelight and the glow of the Manchester skyline to guide them through a magical 4-course menu from Chef Director Aiden Byrne.

On Hallows’ Eve itself, the venue will be turning the lights back on for a themed party complete with live music playing some spooky covers, and a terrifying terrace transformation with a giant pumpkin patch! From 22nd October until 1st November a special Halloween cocktail, Killing Me Sloe-ly will be available from the bar containing Sloe gin, Solerno blood orange liqueur, apple liqueur, black walnut bitters, blood orange puree and vanilla foam with dehydrated raspberry powder.
